Our day began with a usual Milford
High School day. At last everybody was glad that he was finally able to
find rooms, know teachers and have a clue of where in this confusing
school building he was. Facing the fact that there would be just two
days left to use these new abilities depression rose within the group.
But we still had a lot of fun during our last but one day. Since me and
my fellows Christina and Stephanie were giving our presentation in Mr.
Vaughans German class, we increased the German rate dramatically in this
class. We helped the students reading and performing dialogues. Not only
the pronunciation, but also the dramas itself made this lesson a very
entertaining and funny one: "Franz, möchtest du noch etwas Butter bei
der Hafergrütze?" In the afternoon we got to know an immensely important part of the American day-to-day High School life: Sports. The group watched a girls Lacrosse game and cheered the Milford team more or less enthusiastically on. It goes without saying that the exchange partners on the field, Kati and Emily, received special support. I cannot tell much about the rules of this game, but we watched girls running over a field with sticks in their hands trying to score goals. The Milford team did not achieve this too often and lost with the German bad luck charm sitting at the side of the ground. Anyway, we enjoyed the sun and the nice weather a lot, especially after being locked up in school for the half of the day. On our way home me and my family catered for a typical American dinner and bought some really good pizza at "Papa John's". Arriving at home we set about it delightfully. |
